1. Agreement & Legal Acknowledgement
By engaging Louise Allen Website Design and making payment, you acknowledge that this is a legally binding agreement. You accept and understand these Terms of Service, which govern the website design services provided.
2. Scope of Service
Louise Allen Website Design provides website design services only. Ongoing maintenance, hosting fees, domain registration, or third-party software subscriptions (e.g., Squarespace, Wix, Shopify) are not included. Any platform or tool recommendations are for guidance only, and no commissions or incentives are received for such recommendations. Clients are responsible for researching, selecting, and maintaining any software or subscriptions required.
3. Project Activation & Timelines
A project is considered active upon receipt of payment (deposit or full amount, excluding fast-tracking services). Once activated, all policies, including the refund policy, apply. The project timeline will not commence until all required content is submitted in the specified format.
- Project timelines will be communicated and confirmed before commencement via email or invoice.
- Clients must provide all required content within the agreed timeframe, submitted exclusively via the designated Google Drive folder.
- Delays in content submission may result in timeline adjustments and/or additional charges.
- Standard project timelines range from 14 to 21 days, depending on scope. Any extensions beyond 21 days require special agreement.
- If a project remains incomplete due to client delays beyond a reasonable period, Louise Allen reserves the right to terminate the project, and additional charges may apply to resume work later.
4. Content Submission Requirements
To ensure a smooth workflow, content must be submitted as follows:
- All files and text must be uploaded to the designated Google Drive folder.
- The project will not officially begin until all content is received in the correct format.
- Clients must confirm via email when all content has been uploaded.
- Any additional content provided after confirmation may result in extended project timelines and potential extra costs.
5. Communication & Response Times
Louise Allen operates on a structured schedule to ensure efficiency and quality.
- Emails will be responded to during business hours; immediate or same-day responses are not guaranteed.
- Business hours and availability details are provided in email signatures and may be updated periodically.
- Excessive or fragmented communication may impact project timelines and is discouraged.
6. Website Preview & Review Process
- Clients will receive a private, password-protected link to preview their website once the build has commenced.
- Previews must be viewed on a desktop or laptop (not a mobile or tablet) to ensure accuracy.
- Viewing on outdated browsers or incorrect devices may result in visual discrepancies beyond Louise Allen's control.
7. Requesting Changes & Revisions
- Clients will receive a Google Doc formatted for revision requests.
- All requested changes must be submitted within this document under the appropriate headings.
- Change requests submitted via email or fragmented messages may not be accepted.
- A reasonable number of edits are included. Excessive changes or major alterations to the agreed concept may incur additional charges.
- Clear visual references should be provided at the start to avoid excessive modifications.
8. Website Subscription & Launch
- Clients must set up their own billing with the chosen website platform (e.g., Squarespace, Wix, Shopify).
- Louise Allen can provide guidance but is not responsible for third-party subscription payments or technical support.
- In special circumstances, a real-time phone consultation may be arranged to assist with subscription setup.
9. Ongoing Support & Additional Services
Upon project completion:
- Clients will have full access to their website and account.
- Louise Allen will remain as a contributor for minor tweaks and technical assistance.
- Future updates, edits, or additional features beyond the initial design phase will be charged at a reasonable rate.
10. Refund Policy & Project Commitment
All payments made to Louise Allen Website Design are non-refundable and non-transferable under any circumstances. By making payment and signing the agreement, you are securing a dedicated time slot for your project, preventing other projects from occupying that space. Therefore, no refunds or credits will be issued, regardless of project status or client circumstances.
